Who is Pompeo’s husband, Chris Ivery?

Chris Ivery is a music producer. He was born on February 7, 1967, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. His mother is Jewish while his father is African. Coincidentally, Ellen was raised 10 miles away from where he was born.

Ellen says,

“Yes, he grew up in Cambridge, Massachusetts, one of the most liberal places on the planet. And he grew up with a white, Jewish mother and a black father, so he has had to deal with a lot of diversity issues as well. So we’re very open minded.”

Chris and Ivery’s relationship

Ivery and Ellen met for the first time in the year 2003, in a grocery store. The couple became friends and gradually after six months of knowing each other, they fell in love. They have mutual friends as well.

The couple started giving public appearances together after being in a relationship. They were seen together at the Knicks game at Madison Square Garden. Ivery said,

“We were thinking about going away and getting married.”

Chris Ivery and Ellen Pompeo engaged at the start of November and tied the knot on November 9, 2007, in City Hall in Lower Manhattan. A city clerk, the Boston Globe, officiated their wedding.

Ellen fell in love with Ivery’s supportive, open-minded, loving, simple character and has a lot of “swag.” Ellen revealed her relationship in an interview with Allure magazine,
