Kimberley Conrad defends her deceased ex-husband, Hugh Hefner

Kimberley Conrad was the second wife and the ex-wife of Playboy magnate, Hugh Hefner who died at age 91 in 2017. She was upset with his widow, Crystal Hefner’s revelation about her sex life with him.

Kimberley has slammed Crystal and his former girlfriends. She feels that they talking about his sex life after his death is not fair. Kimberley stated that Hugh is not around to defend himself now. And the ladies are talking ill about him behind his back. However, she noted that they had accepted that lifestyle when they were with him.

Kimberley stated:

“We should all ask ourselves whether we want to live in an environment where people refuse to take accountability and use words loosely like ‘force’ and ‘survive’ to describe choices they made willingly at a certain point in their own lives,”

She did not specifically mention the name of Crystal or Hugh’s ex-girlfriends, Holly Madison or Kendra Wilkinson. But the call out was directed at them.

Why did Kimberley release the statement?

Kimberley said that she loves Hugh even today though she had divorced him in 2009. The two wed in 1989 but separated in 1998. They have two sons together born in 1990 (Marston) and 1991 (Cooper). The court granted them divorce in 2010.

Kimberley added that Hugh is no longer there to defend himself and hence she was forced to release this statement on his behalf. She remarked:

“Hef was also a man (besides being a successful businessman).”

The ex-wife continued:

“We should be wary of those who try to destroy things because they are no longer benefiting from them. People like that will never hold credibility, in my opinion,”
“If you want to talk about exploitation, this is exactly what these women have done with Hef in his later years and at the end of his life.”

Crystal Hefner and her revelation

Crystal has released a book this January in which she has candidly talked about her life with Hugh. The two wed in 2012. In her book Only Say Good Things: Surviving Playboy and Finding Myself, Crystal spoke about his sex-filled parties, orgies, and control and manipulation techniques. The widow of Hugh said that she and other girls faced trauma due to these tactics.

Crystal also wrote about the opiate addiction of Hugh in his last few years. He had a fast-paced lifestyle that negatively impacted her and his ample girlfriends. They lost the sparkle of their lives. She called his sex methods odd, strange and robotic, adding that he never looked or appreciated her while having sex with her.

These claims of Crystal closely resembled those made by Hugh’s girlfriends, Holly Madison and Kendra Wilkinson on the show The Girls Next Door. This reality show was highly popular.
