Hugh Jackman has received skin cancer all-clear after two biopsies
Actor Hugh Jackman has shared his latest health update. He revealed that after undergoing two biopsies his tests came out negative and he does not have basal cell skin cancer.
The Wolverine actor, 54, revealed on his Instagram story on Wednesday that his latest biopsies have come back negative.
He wrote in his story:
“My biopsies came back negative!!! Thank you ALL for the love. I feel it! And to the media for getting this very important message out”.
He added:
“Please remember to wear sunscreen with a high level of SPF (no matter the season).”
He previously told his followers that he was undergoing biopsies and urged his followers to wear sunscreen
Hugh Jackman posted on Instagram first on Tuesday to warn people about the dangers of skin cancer and sun tanning.
In a short Instagram video, the 54-year-old actor revealed that he was undergoing skin cancer testing(biopsies) to determine if the skin abnormalities that were found during his recent medical checkup were symptoms of basal cell carcinoma.
He had a bandage on his nose and said:
“If I can just take this opportunity to remind you summer is coming, for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere, please wear sunscreen. Just to remind you, basal cell, in the world of skin cancers, is the least dangerous of them all,” Jackman cautioned his followers. “However, if I can just take this opportunity to remind you, summer is coming.”

The actor continued:
“No matter how much you want a tan, trust me, trust me, trust me. This is all stuff that happened 25 years ago; it’s coming out now. Put some sunscreen on. You’ll still have an incredible time out there. Please be safe.”
He urged his followers to use sunscreen:
“It’s just not worth it, no matter how much you want to tan. Trust me, trust me, trust me,” he said. “Put some sunscreen on. You’ll still have an incredible time out there.”
Hugh also captioned the post:
“I know you’ve heard me talk about my basal cell carcinomas before. I’m going to keep talking about them, if need be. And if it reminds even one person to put on sunscreen with a high SPF, then I’m happy.”
He has had multiple surgeries to get rid of skin cancer before
Since 2013, the ‘X-Men’ actor has had a series of surgeries to get rid of skin cancer. He has emphasized the importance of using sunscreen with a high SPF regardless of the time of year.
