Ian Anderson is a British musician, singer, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter. People mostly recognize him as the acoustic guitarist and the lead vocalist of the British rock band Jethro Tull.

Anderson has received the Ivor Novello Award for International Achievement. Additionally, he has also received an honorary Doctorate of Literature from Heriot-Watt University.

He was also appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire in 2008. Furthermore, he is a proud recipient of Honorary Doctorate (Doctor of Letters) from Abertay University.
