Iman paid tribute to her late husband, David Bowie, on what would have been their 25th wedding anniversary on Tuesday, June 6. Iman shared a black and white photo of Bowie kissing her forehead as they stood beneath an umbrella.

She captioned the picture by saying:

“I would walk forever, just to be in your arms again. June 6th #BowieForever.”

David Bowie and Iman tied the knot in April 1992. They together are the parents of the daughter Alexandria Zahra Jones. She shared a picture of a gorgeous double rainbow above the New York City skyline, which she captioned:

 “Jan 10th, 2016 NYC Skyline #ForeverAndEver #ForeverLove #BowieForever.”

Many fans commented on the touching tribute with heart and rainbow emojis. One of the Instagram users wrote:  

“Forever in our hearts,”. 

While another added:

“He was definitely checking in and sending love.” 

Relationship of Iman and David Bowie

Iman and Bowie tied the knot in April 1992. After eight years of marriage, they welcomed their daughter, Alexandria Zahra Jones. She is now a grown-up 16 years girl.

The legendary “Fame” singer died at the age of 69 in January 2016 after a private 18-month battle with liver cancer. Just two days before closing his eyes forever, he released his final album, the critically acclaimed Blackstar.

Since then, Iman has shared a number of tragic social media posts in honor of her late husband. In June, the cosmetics mogul posted an Instagram shot on what would have been the couple’s anniversary.

“June 6th…., 24th wedding anniversary #foreverlove,”.

Iman shared the black-and-white image of herself and Bowie posing on the beach.

In an interview recorded before his death, the Somali-born fashion icon Iman opened up about her 24-year marriage to Bowie on an episode of Oprah: Where Are They Now?. In the episode, she told:

 “When we are home, we are just Iman and David. We’re not anybody else.”

Death of the Superstar David Bowie

David Bowie, a famous musician who was also known for his film work, died Sunday, January 10, 2016, at the age of 69. The news was announced on Bowie’s official Facebook page. The post explained that the star expired of cancer after a one-and-a-half-year fight.

The post said:

“David Bowie died peacefully today surrounded by his family after a courageous 18 month battle with cancer. While many of you will share in this loss, we ask that you respect the family’s privacy during their time of grief.”

His son, Duncan Jones who is a filmmaker, confirmed the news via Twitter. He shared the news with the pain. In the Twitter post, he wrote:

“Very sorry and sad to say it’s true. I’ll be offline for a while. Love to all.”

Before his last breath, he celebrated his 69th birthday on Friday, January 8 the same year. The same day that he released his 25th studio album, Blackstar.

David tinkered in Hollywood films, with his starring turn in 1986’s cult hit Labyrinth ranking among his best-known roles. Also, he made a cameo in 2001’s comedy Zoolander.
