Jacob Moran Is Back To Impressed American Idol Judges For 20th Season

The 28-year-old Jacob Moran, a second time makes it to the next round i.e., Hollywood Week in season 20 of American Idol.
On the 1st of February, Moran announced his return to audition again on Season 20 of American Idol via his respective IG handle. On Sunday (March 20), the fourth episode of the show aired in which Moran also appeared and ‘wooed’ the judges and the audience once again with his vocals.
Jacob first appeared on American Idol in Season 17. He auditioned in Louisville where he sang “Into You” by Ariana Grande. At the time, all three judges voted “yes,” sending him to the next round, unfortunately, his first experience ended there in the show.
Jacob Moran is a registered nurse at Lansing Rheumatology in East Lansing. He came into the limelight of the media after winning the first golden ticket in Season 17 of the music reality show in 2019.
Moran took singing as a hobby however, he always wanted to pursue music as a career that was his “ultimate goal”.

‘American Idol Season 20 airs every Sunday on Hulu after its ABC telecast at 8 pm ET. You can also watch on websites like DirecTV, Xfinity Stream, and FuboTV. The Season winner will receive a record deal and a cash prize in the finale.
Jacob Moran appeared in ‘American Idol’ Season 20
In a recent episode of American Idol, he again appeared for an audition in front of three judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and Lionel Ritchie. This time, he sang one of Perry’s songs, “Rise”.
When he was asked why he chose this song. He replied,
“It’s a song about the perfect comeback. Picking yourself up off the ground, just showing how strong you are and how determined you are. I think that song really fits my journey in the last two years, honestly.”
After Jacob was eliminated from ‘American Idol’ Season 17, everything changed in his life. Firstly, he made a radical change in his physical appearance, shed 80 pounds, and became an avid runner.
Moran went into the audition with renewed confidence and showed the Idol judges how much he has grown as an artist. He said,
“I’m definitely a lot more confident than I was when I was last in Hollywood. And I just know a little more of what I want out of this music industry. I want a career and I am actually actively trying to pursue that now and really making choices and changes to kind of prepare myself for that. It was much more real this time around.”
He received a standing ovation from the “Roar” singer herself and said,
“Jacob, this time is the time, it’s a yes from me. You’re going to Hollywood and Welcome back!”
Fellow judges also praise him. Richie said,
“You realize you just got a standing o from Katy Perry on your doing her song,”
Whereas, Bryan left speechless and shared that he “wrote yes already”. Richie added,
“Wow, well, I don’t know if this is serendipitous, halfway through the performance, I wrote yes too,”
