‘New Couple Alert!’ Common came as a guest on Monday’s The Jennifer Hudson Show episode amid their romance rumors.

While entering the show the rapper and actor, 51, came up with a bouquet for the beautiful host, Jennifer Hudson.

During the episode, Common opened up about his dating life after the host playfully asked about his current relationship status. The 42-year-old host began,

“Let’s get down to business, Mr.Common, I’m a host, and so I have to ask you this question because everybody always wants to know this. Are you dating anyone?”

The crowd cheered and the Academy Award-winning actor shyly admitted,

“So, yes, And I’m in a relationship that is with one of the most beautiful people I’ve met in life,”

The “Light” rapper then went on to describe his girlfriend listing out her career highlights, saying,

She’s smart, she loves God, she has something real down to earth about her. She’s talented. But I set my standard kind of high because she had to have an EGOT. She had to win an Oscar on her first movie. I set my standard high. She had to get her own talk show. “

Although Common didn’t disclose her name it quickly became clear that he was talking about Hudson.

The John Wick: Chapter 2 actor expressed how pleased he is over his love life noting, “relationship is a happy place for me”.

“For me, it’s one of those things where I found where seeing her happy actually makes me really happy, I’m very grateful. I thank God every day and I’m just letting God guide this relationship.”

Besides, Hudson also admitted to being in a “very happy” romantic situation.

Common says he’s the ‘Marrying type’

After The Jennifer Hudson Show, Common appeared on TODAY with Hoda & Jenna show to promote his new book, “And Then We Rise A Guide to Loving and Taking Care of Self”.

On the show, the rapper shared about his desire to walk down the aisle in the future when Hoda Kotb asked if Common is “the marrying type”.

“I feel like I have grown and the work that I have done on myself has allowed me to see that I am a marrying type. I am the type that, I’m capable and I have the capacity, and if at some point in my life I may want to do that, I would know when the right time is,”

He then talked about being a religious faith person, sharing a glimpse into his personal beliefs.

“For me, everything is divine, I work from that discernment that God speaks — when He speaks into your stomach and you feel it in your heart and your spirit, so when I would feel that, I will communicate with that person and if she’s feeling that, then why not?”

Similarly, he explained the reason behind being public with his relationship despite the fact he’s usually a very private person.

“We had a little fun and it’s great to be on ‘The Jennifer Hudson Show,’ I felt like, man, why not just be loving and honest with who I am and who we are? And it felt good.”
