Jessica Batten, 38, and McGrath, 36, exchanged their wedding vows and held the intimate ceremony at a historic Santa Barbara courthouse in front of just 4 guests. Though the pair had the idea of a lavish wedding their thought process changed in COVID.
The couple who eloped had sweet memories of being orchestrated by Crowned Events in their marriage a year after their September 2021 engagement. The two are aiming to have wedding celebrations with friends and family in August 2024 when the couple revealed,
“Our elopement was a bite-sized version of a vision that we have planned for our 2024 celebration that will be worthy of our dear family and friends.”
Jessica donned a low bun hairstyle and a lace dress from Reem Acra’s 2023 Spring collection as her bridal attire. The groom opted for a neutral wedding look with a tan Italian suit, a white tie, Ferragamo loafers, and Batten’s father’s watch.

Wedding reception and dining of Jessica and Benjamin McGrath’s wedding
Their wedding moments were captured by photographer Alex followed by a wedding dining on the patio of a private residence. They also had a wedding cake, a two-tiered vanilla cake, made up of passionfruit curd, mascarpone, blueberry sauce, and cream cheese frosting from San Diego baker Peggy Liao.
They also had a five-course meal from, Chef Johnny Weber. It was something like a wedding picnic accompanied by Benjamin’s two kids. The food menu included a main course of smoked prime beef tri-tip with cactus, tomato vinaigrette, and cilantro.
Jessica had her bridal attire transition from a lace gown to a vintage Elliatt high neck halter gown with buttons down the back.
