Beginning of his career

JID began his music career by working at call centers and delivering pizza before becoming recognized.

JID debuted in the music industry in 2010 with the release of his first mixtape, Cakewalk. He founded Spillage Village alongside EarthGang, Hollywood JB, and Jordxn Bryant earlier that year.

Cakewalk 2 was his second mixtape, released in 2011. In 2012, he released Road of All Evil, his third mixtape. His next mixtape, named Para Tu, was released in 2013 and was later re-released in 2017.

JID debuted the song “Working Out” on A COLORS SHOW in October. The second official single from the album, “Off Deez,” was released in November.

JID announced the second leg of his Catch Me If You Can tour in 2019. JID appeared on Dreamville’s Revenge of the Dreamers III compilation CD.
