Jillian Michaels and DeShanna Marie Minuto are officially a married couple. The fitness trainer, 49, tied the knot to her fashion designer partner, 38, in a three-day lavish wedding.

The wedding ceremony took place on June 24, at the Aman Hotel, one of eight monumental palazzos on the Grand Canal in Venice, Italy.

The grand three-day celebration began on Friday with a stylish welcome dinner at the Belmond Cipriani with a breathtaking view of the romantic city.

Guests were greeted with champagne as they arrived on mahogany Venetian boats.

Similarly, the menu included a three-course meal of scallops with pistachio sauce and potato puree, ricotta and spinach mezzaluna with aged parmesan, and tomato steak salad with samphire and pumpkin seed sauce.

Jillian and DeShanna walked down the aisle hand in hand while exchanging intimate vows in front of 50 guests.

The fitness expert gushed to PEOPLE that she became overwhelmed with emotion while reading her vows.

“I didn’t think I was going to cry!”

Similarly, she surprised DeShanna gorgeous 7-carat emerald wedding ring that featured a diamond baguette.

While speaking to the outlet, she describes her partner as “beautiful, funny, and creative”. The celebrity trainer explained,

“But all that shiny stuff in the beginning doesn’t last. So what makes you say to yourself, ‘I want to walk alongside this human for the rest of my life.’ And I take that really seriously. I’m 49. I’ve never married anyone. I just didn’t believe that there was a human I could do that with until DeShanna.”
“What made me believe it, and her more than anything, is truly what we’ve been through and the quality of her character, her strength, her empathy and her intelligence.”

Talking about their wedding dresses, on the first day of the celebration, both brides wore Dolce and Gabbana while dining with friends and family.

For the ceremony, DeShanna opted for a boat neck mermaid Zuhair Murad gown, which featured a faille overskirt and bow embellishments as well as cascades of asymmetrical handmade beadwork.

The dress reportedly took over a year to complete.

Jillian, for her part, sported a glittering black dress by the same designer with sheer sleeves and beaded applique.

The twosome hosted a masquerade-themed afterparty to the Chiesetta della Misericordia – a historic church that was converted into a custom nightclub.

The guests traveled by boat and went to late-night parties. Acrobats were also hired who performed on a disco ball. Jillian said of her destination wedding,

“DeShanna comes from a very big Italian family and it’s her favorite country in the world. She planned the entire thing.”

Jillian and DeShanna are married for a third time

Jillian Michaels and DeShanna Marie Minuto first married on July 11, 2022, at a Miami courthouse in front of a close friend and family.

Jillian’s two children Lukensia, 13, and Phoenix, 10, whom she shared with her ex-fiance Heidi Rhoades, were also present during the courthouse wedding.

Later that year, they traveled to Namibia for a private ceremony.

Jillian proposed to DeShanna a year before with a 7-carat emerald-cut diamond ring made by a family friend at H&H Jewels in Miami.

In November 2021, she announced the engagement news on Instagram, writing,

“1153 days… here’s to thousands more. She said ‘yes'”

Jillian and DeShanna met on Raya, a members-only dating app. The fashion designer told PEOPLE about her new life partner,

“She really is my best friend and my rock. She has this insatiable desire to learn and that’s really been such an amazing thing for me and for us as a couple just to grow together.”
