Joe Jonas filed for divorce from Sophie Turner just after years of marriage.

The Jonas Brothers singer, 34, filed for a dissolution of marriage on Tuesday in Miami from his estranged wife, 27, confirms People.

The filing claims that the marriage between the pair is irretrievably broken. The divorce filing also states that Jonas and Turner have a prenup.

The musician and the Game of Thrones actress married in 2019 after dating for almost three years. They share two young daughters together: Willa, 3, and another identified in divorce documents as D., 14 months.

The filing comes just days after People reported that Jonas retained a divorce lawyer despite confusing fans by wearing his wedding band.

Mutual friends first introduced the couple and then connected through Instagram in 2016.

The British actress told Harper’s Bazaar in 2019,

“We had a lot of mutual friends, and they’d been trying to introduce us for a long time,”

A little over a year after their wedding, Sophie gave birth to their first child, a baby named Willa.

Not long after that, the lovebirds were expecting their second child together. Jonas, who is usually very private about his private life, opened up to People about becoming a father.

He said ahead of his secondborn’s arrival,

“You really don’t know what to expect,”
“I think [I’m] maybe a little less nervous [this time], but I’m just excited. It’s such an amazing part of life.”

Joe added,

“It’s been amazing to be a dad and to learn every day more about myself and what that’s like,”

In July 2022, reps for both stars confirmed that they had welcomed another baby girl.
