Kamar De Los Reyes is no longer alive among us! One Life to Live star took his last breath on Sunday, December 24, in Los Angeles on Christmas Eve.

His family confirmed his death, revealing that he died after a brief battle with cancer. He was just 56.

However, it is unclear what type of cancer Kamar was fighting and when he was diagnosed since they kept such details private.

According to the family statement, de los Reyes was filming “All American” at the time of his death.

Similarly, he had recently completed filming for roles in Hulu’s upcoming series “Washington Black,” starring Sterling K. Brown, and Marvel’s upcoming “Daredevil” series.

He most recently appeared in seven episodes of the hit television series, All American earlier this year, portraying the role of a football coach.

Kamar is survived by his wife, actress Sherri Saum, and their twins, Michael and John, 9. Similarly, he was a father to 26-year-old son Caylen from his previous relationship.

A career timeline of Kamar De Los Reyes

Kamar had established a well-known name in the Hollywood industry.

In 1994, he made his television debut in a TV movie, The Corpse Had a Familiar Face where he portrayed the role of Puerto Rican. The same year, he appeared in the 65th episode of Valley of the Dolls.

De Los Reyes then got his career breakthrough in 1995 from his role as Antonio Vega, a former gang member, turned lawyer and police officer, in the long-running soap opera, One Life To Live.

The soap opera run for more than 43 years from July 15, 1968, to January 13, 2012. Similarly, he made his big screen debut with a featured dancer role in the 1988 romance movie, Salsa.

After that, he appeared in numerous hit movies including Street Knight, (1993), Nicon (1995), The Cell (2000), Love & Suicide (2005), Amelia 2.0 (2017), and more.

Further, his other credit television series include New York Undercover, Promised Land, Early Edition, Wheel of Fortune, The Mentalist, Kingdom, The Gifted, and so on.

Kamar also voiced the character of Raul Menendez in the popular video game, Call of Duty: Black Ops II, portraying the villain in several different editions of the franchise, starting in 2012.
