Kanye West publicly admits his love for his estranged wife Kim Kardashian

Their divorce might soon be finalized but Kanye West will not hide his true feelings for Kim Kardashian.

While appearing in an interview on Piers Morgan Uncensored, the rapper said:

“I may be divorced on paper, but I’m not divorced of the idea of being the protector,”
“Her name is no longer West. And my name is now only Ye. If we were ever to be together again, what would our name be? Kimye?”

The father of four went on to say that he will love Kim for life and added:

“Oddly enough I will protect her.”

After nearly seven years of marriage, Kim filed for divorce from Ye in February 2021.

On the show, West also alleged that Kardashian and several members of her family are barring him from seeing his children.

Earlier this month, Ye wrote on his Instagram account:

“So why did everyone feel so free to attack me about my T-shirt. But Candace Owens was the only public figure to say that it was wrong for the Kardashians to keep me from seeing my daughter,”

He further brought the racism thing in by writing:

“Or we just chime in when we want to tear a Black man down for actually having a political opinion,”
And for all audience so outraged about my T-shirt. Where was you when I couldn’t see my kids. I went public in hope of public support at the time.”

The estranged couple wants to do what’s best for their children

Kim, on her part, claimed that Kanye was lying and that he would see the kids even when the exes were not on talking terms.

Looking optimistic about their future relationship, the KUWTK alum said:

“I hope we, you know, are the co-parenting goals at the end of the day,”

She added:

“I think we just have a different kind of platform now. But you know, it doesn’t mean that maybe because he expressed himself in a certain way that he’s not an amazing person and amazing friend. I do believe that we’ll have that again. I’m always really hopeful.”

The Love Lockdown singer also shared what he feels about the exes’ current co-parenting skill on last month’s Alo Mind Full podcast. He said:

“Even to this day, I’ll still give Kim advice on things that could help because that’s going to go to the kids,”
“She’s still got them 80 percent of the time, [to] raise those children. So what people saw when I was going back and forth is that I still have to be able to throw my version of what people would throw into the curriculum.”

While Kim broke up with Pete Davidson after nearly a year of dating, Kanye is currently dating a 24-year-old Brazilian model called Juliana Nalu. They have been spotted on multiple dates but are not so serious about each other as of now.
