The English actress shocked her fans when she revealed that she had held her breath for over seven minutes during a training session for the movie. This was Kate’s first time joining hands with motion capture for her performance in the movie.

On Friday, the 47-year-old actress appeared on The Graham Norton Show where she shared a video of her training for her role with her instructor. It also shows the actress holding her breath for over 7 minutes.

Host Graham asked her how she was able to do it. Then the Mare of Easttown actress replied:

”Firstly, it is a sport. It’s not something you can try in the bath, it’s not something you can never ever do it by yourself. Actually what happens when people don’t know what they are doing, they come up and gasp, and that’s when people black out and run into trouble.”
