Why is Christine Baumgartner still at Kevin Costner’s house?

It looks like Kevin Costner‘s estranged wife, Christine Baumgartner has no plans of leaving her soon-to-be ex-husband’s house.

According to reports, Costner has requested the court to help the former model get out of their shared home amid their divorce.

Documents obtained by TMZ show that the Yellowstone star claimed that Baumgartner is refusing to move out of the actor’s house despite their lengthy prenup detailing. It orders that she had only a month to vacate their home after she filed for divorce on May 1.

Not only that, but Costner also alleged that the former model is using her position as leverage to make him agree to her various monetary demands.

For his prenuptial obligations, the Bodyguard actor already gave Christine, 49, over $1.2 million which is more than enough for her to find a home to live in.

The court documents show that the actor is willing to “contribute as part of his child support obligations $30K per month for a rental house and is willing to advance another $10K for her moving costs.”

Last month, Christine filed for divorce after nearly 2 decades of marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

In the divorce filing, the handbag designer requested joint custody of their three children: Cayden, 16, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 13. But, Christine did not ask for spousal support.

The actor’s reps confirmed at the time,

“It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond his control have transpired which have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action,”
“We ask that his, Christine’s, and their children’s privacy be respected as they navigate this difficult time.”

What caused Kevin and Christine’s marriage to fail?

The Hidden Figures actor who was away shooting for his new film at the time was stunned by his wife’s decision. The following day, Costner, responded to Christine’s petition asking for joint custody of their kids as well.

Initially, fans started speculating that his serial cheating might have ended their marriage but friends revealed that it was not the case. They said,

“There was no issue of cheating at all.”

A source told People that Christine was deeply unhappy with Kevin’s work schedule before filing for divorce.
