Khloe Kardashian Sued! She has been Slapped With Lawsuit by Paparazzi Agency-for Posting a Photo of Khloe Kardashian on Instagram!!

Khloe Kardashian is in legal trouble! A photo agency has filed a federal lawsuit against the reality star, Khloe. She has been accused of using their unlicensed picture which had their copyrights.

As per the reports, she shared the picture on September 14, 2016.

Lawsuit for Uploading Picture

Basically like every day Khloe shares her pictures with her fans and followers, she shared one of her pictures on her Instagram account.

But the difference was, that she shared that particular picture that had copyright issues and she did not have the right to use that picture. Hence, has been slapped with a federal lawsuit of copyright infringement for not crediting them.

According to court documents, the company Xposure Photos has filed a suit against Khloe and the suit claims that Khloe broke the law by removing the copyright information from one of their pictures and uploading it on her social media account as well as she did not give any credit to them.

The image that she uploaded without permission was of her anonymous sister and herself having a great time at a Miami restaurant.

The company wants,

“an injunction, profits arising from the act of alleged infringement, statutory damages up to $25,000 (£20,000) and more,”

Adding,

“Plaintiff never licensed the Photograph to defendants. Nevertheless, defendants have used, and continue to use, the Photograph without authorization or permission from plaintiff to do so. Specifically, Kardashian copied the Photograph and distributed it on Instagram on September 14, 2016. The copy of the Photograph that Kardashian distributed on Instagram had been altered to remove the CMI [copyright management information] showing plaintiff as the copyright owner of the image.”

The claim reads,

“Defendants’ unauthorized use harms the existing and future market for the original Photograph,”

“Defendants’ unauthorized use is commercial in nature. Kardashian uses her Instagram feed for the purposes of promotion … every one of Kardashian’s Instagram posts is fundamentally promoting something to her 67 million followers.”

However, the agency came up with a settlement. Looking at Khloe’s source of income, projects, business, and endorsements, they have asked her to pay the price of $25,000 for the damages.
