Kim Kardashian calls her family’s success a fluke

The Kardashian/Jenner clan might be one of the most controversial and famous families in the world but Kim Kardashian exposed how they got there and called their success a total fluke.

On the season 4 finale of The Kardashians, the Skims founder, 43, recalled her family’s rise to stardom and admitted that they “scammed the system” to get there.

The family came together to celebrate Scott Disick‘s 40th birthday. Momager Kris Jenner noted that she has known Disick for “most of [his] adult life.”

The 68-year-old reality star quipped,

“You were literally here episode one, season 1,”

Scott responded jokingly,

“I was like, ‘This show’s going nowhere,’”

Kim, for her part, noted that she has known the businessman for over 19 years and thanked him for “supporting me through thick and thin” and “through every phase.”

Disick joked, “[Remember] when you were on the cover of Dog Fancy?”

The family quickly made it clear that it was K9 magazine.

In a confessional later, the mom of four said,

“Scott’s my motivator. He’ll always say, ‘God, can you believe you did it?’ And I’m like, ‘I can’t, this is crazy.’ … We aren’t supposed to be here, like how did we get in this cool party? We weren’t the cool kids, how did we do it?”

Kim admitted that she always wanted to become famous

Despite that, Kim also opened up about her own rise to fame saying that it was something she always wanted in life.

In September 2019, she said in an interview with Vogue Arabia,

“Money was always the goal but I was obsessed with fame, like, embarrassingly obsessed,”
“I do agree that fame can be addictive. But now, my focus has shifted.”

The aspiring lawyer added,

“Even in my darkest of times, I don’t regret putting myself out there for the world to see. People have shared with me over the years how much it has helped them to feel less alone when dealing with their own adversity.”

Internet users didn’t like how obsessed Kim was with fame. One wrote, referring to her infamous sex tape,

”Wanted to be famous so they leaked a sex tape , trash back then and still trash”
