Kim Kardashian reveals her psoriasis is getting worse

Kim Kardashian is showing fans the condition of her psoriasis flareup.

On Tuesday, the beauty mogul shared with her 364 million followers that she is currently dealing with an extremely “painful” bout of the skin disease, which causes a rash with itchy, scaly patches according to the Mayo Clinic.

The mother of four said while zooming in a big patch on her calf,

“How crazy is my psoriasis right now guys,”
“It’s like all up my leg and I don’t know what’s happening but I got to figure this out… this is crazy.”

The 43-year-old law student revealed that she doesn’t know what triggered her skin disorder to flare up but noted that she hasn’t changed her diet recently. It was another cause of another one of her major breakouts in 2022.

Kardashian wrote,

“I’ve tried everything,”
“Psoriasis sucks.”

In yet another video that she posted on her Instagram Story, Kardashian explained that she normally has a small spot on her leg. She is concerned now that the rash is growing.

She said,

“But now I can tell it’s going down my leg and up my leg and all up my thigh,”
“I just know it’s time to figure this out.”

Despite the tough time, Kim is trying to look at the bright side of things, joking with her fans that the large red patch is in a heart shape.

Zooming into the large heart-shaped patch, the reality star said sarcastically,

“Wait am I tripping or is my psoriasis in the shape of a heart for Valentine’s Day,”
“Lucky me, I have a heart-shaped psoriasis,”

Kardashian uses a tanning bed to treat her psoriasis

Kim has been very open about her psoriasis for years and often documents its effects on social media, raising awareness among fans.

In 2019, she wrote an essay about the autoimmune disease for her sister Kourtney Kardashian’s Poosh site, revealing that her first symptoms began with arthritis in the mid-2000s.

The reality mogul wrote,

“If you have psoriasis, you can’t let it ruin your life or get the best of you,”

“You have to do what you can to make sure you are comfortable but not let it take over … I hope my story can help anyone else with an autoimmune disease feel confident that there is light at the end of the tunnel.”

While the actress has done all she can to control the flareup like homeopathic remedies and occasional cortisone shots, she recently revealed another method that has been helping to tame her flareups.

After receiving immense backlash for keeping a tanning bed in her office recently, the Skims founder said on X that the device helps with her psoriasis.

In response to Allure’s piece titled, “Please, Kim Kardashian, Don’t Try to Normalize Tanning Beds,’‘ she wrote,

“I have psoriasis and it really helps when it’s bad. But I don’t use it too often,”
