Kourtney Kardashian is the latest Kardashian who has courted controversy.

On Friday, the eldest of the reality star siblings posted a photo of herself on Instagram wearing a fur coat.

Kourtney Kardashian posted a photo on Instagram of herself wearing a fur coat and holding a glass of champagne, following her sister Kim Kardashian West’s appearance in a dress with a Virgin Mary image on Friday.

The post received immediate backlash from angry social media users who were fed up with the star using fur — and others who felt that she was making fun of mental illness.

“That poor animal had a mental breakdown before it was murdered,” reads one comment. “Please just stop wearing fur.”
“Disgusting photo @kourtneykardash,” reads another comment. “Those animals the died for that jacket & you wanna wear them WTF.”
“Hahaha, making fun of mental illness is hysterical!” one user said, sarcastically.

Fans were quick to point out that Kourtney has been insensitive to her image.

Another fan said she did love the Kardashian family, but wished they would do better.

Other Controversies Regarding Her Sisters

Earlier this week, it was Kourtney’s younger sister Kim who was under fire for releasing a Virgin Mary candle emoji in her image on Thursday, April 20, and then stepping out in a see-through mini-dress featuring the Catholic icon on the next day.

Critics called her “stupid” and “very disrespectful” for using the religious symbol in those ways. Kim has yet to respond to the backlash.

And in early April, Kendall Jenner’s starring role in a controversial Pepsi spot put her in hot water after the public blasted her for being part of the tone-deaf ad.

A source told the US that the 21-year-old model “feels horrible” for all the anger stemming from the protest-themed TV spot.
