Gold medal-winning artistic gymnast, 22, and Charlotte Drury mark their second anniversary on Monday, December 5. Hernandez confirms she’s been in a relationship with fellow Olympian Charlotte Drury for almost two years.

The couple paid a sweet tribute to each other celebrating their second anniversary on their respective Instagram handle. She took to Instagram to share the exciting news that she and Charlotte are a romantic couple.

The 22-year-old Olympic medalist shared a sweet photo of herself smiling alongside Charlotte while she can be seen kissing Hernandez on her cheek. Similarly, she simply captioned the post,

“2 whole years! can u believe it!!”

Charlotte, on the other hand, shared several mirror selfies wrapping her arm around her girlfriend’s shoulder and kissing her head. She captions the post,

“Two whole years (not counting the year I spent secretly pining after you). My hot date, my best friend, my favorite person. Happy anniversary bug.”

Prior to the post, Charlotte posted a selfie of a couple at The Metropolitan Opera where they went to watch the play, La Traviata. In the comment post, she praises Barton Cowperthwaite for his performance.

Laurie rarely posted photos of the couple while Charlotte often captured her memories with Laurie and shared them with fans including seeing Harry Styles’s concert at Madison Square Garden.

How long Laurie and Charlotte Drury have been dating?

Hernandez and Drury, who have both been members of the U.S. National Gymnastics team, are reportedly dating since December 2020. The two never confirmed their romance until they celebrated their first anniversary.

However, they’ve been dropping hints about their relationship status on social media. They made brief appearances on each other’s TikTok videos.

Hernandez gushed over her girlfriend in April 2021 for the first time on social media in the comments of a goofy video, saying,

“Charlotte Drury is my favorite person.”

In August 2021, Hernandez and Drury responded to a TikTok comment asking if they were “besties or [dating]” by posing as the “women with bunny ears” emoji. They acknowledge that they were more than just friends.

In the following months, Drury posted a photo embracing Hernandez during a trip to Washington with some of their friends on Instagram and wrote,

“We made it!”
