Lea Michele and her husband Zandy Reich are expanding their family. The couple are expecting their second child together.

On Wednesday, March 27, the Broadway star, 37, took to Instagram to share the happy news, debuting her baby bump.

She shared a photo of herself flaunting her tiny baby bump in a creamy ivory top that was pulled back to reveal her tummy as she cradled it with both hands. She then simply captioned the post, writing,

“Mommy, Daddy and Ever are overjoyed,”

As soon as she announced the baby’s arrival news many were quick to congratulate the happy couple. Ashley Tisdale, who is also expecting her second child, wrote,

“So excited for this beautiful family,”

Lea and Zandy are already a mom to a 3-year-old son named Ever Leo.

In August 2020, she gave birth to her first child a year after marriage. In 2019, the two tied the knot in Napa, Calif.

Lea Michele struggled with fertility

Lea had fertility struggles when trying to get pregnant for the first time. She suffered from polycystic ovary syndrome which made it difficult to conceive her first child, Ever.

In 2022, when Lea was asked if she wanted a second child, she reflected on her pregnancy journey with her first child and said at the time,

“Our journey bringing [Ever] into this world was not easy, and we have had some heartbreaks already this time around. Have faith God will bring [them] another when the time is right.”

She further recalled the journey during a March 2021 Instagram Live. She shared,

“I was like, “Let’s just stop [trying], I kept thinking, “Maybe this isn’t meant to be for me. Maybe this isn’t going to happen.” It’s something that for me, personally, was always my biggest fear in my entire life. It’s what I’ve wanted more than anything. Emotionally, it just started to build and build. … Then we got pregnant.”

“I started bleeding terribly, horribly. … I experienced very heavy bleeding, some which was scary to the point that we rushed in the middle of the night to the hospital. Probably every other day, we were certain that this time was definitely it. I was put on an extreme amount of medication, progesterone, to help sustain this pregnancy, and I was put on bed rest for my whole first trimester. That was just horrible, absolutely horrible.”
