What’s the health condition of LeBron James’ son Bronny James?

LeBron James‘ eldest son Bronny James was hospitalized early this week after suffering a sudden cardiac arrest during a practice session at the University of Southern California.

He was admitted to the intensive care unit at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Monday morning.

Fortunately, his condition was not severe enough to require an extended stay in the ICU, so he was transferred out on Tuesday and discharged from the hospital the following day.

On Wednesday, July 26, the hospital released a statement informing that Bronny had been discharged and was recovering at home.

The statement commended the prompt and efficient response of the USC athletics medical team in saving Bronny’s life.

“Thanks to the swift and effective response by the USC athletics’ medical staff, Bronny James was successfully treated for a sudden cardiac arrest. He arrived at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center fully conscious, neurologically intact and stable. Mr. James was cared for promptly by highly-trained staff and has been discharged home, where he is resting.”

“We are hopeful for his continued progress and are encouraged by his response, resilience and his family and community support.”

His younger brother, Bryce Maximus also expressed his love and support for his sibling through an Instagram post. He shared a photo of them together alongside a red heart emoji.

Similarly, LeBron James spoke for the first time about his son’s condition on Thursday, July 27, while showing gratitude to those who sent prayers and well wishes for him. He wrote,

“I want to thank the countless people sending my family love and prayers. We feel you and I’m so grateful. Everyone doing great. We have our family together, safe and healthy, and we feel your love. Will have more to say when we’re ready but I wanted to tell everyone how much your support has meant to all of us!”

Bronny James is presently representing the University of Southern California

Bronny began playing basketball while attending Sierra Canyon High School. He is presently playing for the Trojans basketball team as a freshman at USC.

In November 2022, he was signed with the Trojans and is expected to be selected in the NBA draft next year.

The Los Angeles Lakers star, 38, also shared his excitement on Instagram after his proud son signed his letter of intent last year. He wrote at the time,

“My boy signed his letter of intent yesterday for @uschoops! So damn happy and proud of you @bronny!! Pops shed a gangsta seeing this. So AMAZING!!”

Similarly, he added some hashtags, such as “#ProudDad #BronnyGoingToCollege #JamesGang#FightOn”
