The Fly Away hitmaker revealed that he will not be writing a father-of-the-bride speech for his daughter Zoe Kravitz’s upcoming wedding to Channing Tatum.

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight at the 2024 Critics Choice Awards on Sunday night, Kravitz said,

“It just comes at the moment. I don’t rehearse those things,”

He also said that his words will come “from the heart.”

Lenny, 59, also said in a new interview with E!News that he is looking forward to attending the wedding. He even gushed about his future son-in-law.

The musician said,

“I do love him,”
“We’re good friends. A lot of mutual respect. And my daughter’s happy.”

The Grammy winner also noted that he would be happy to perform at their wedding but would never think of charging them.

Reminding the reporter that it is his daughter’s wedding, Kravitz said, “There is no fee. Are you kidding?”

Chances are he might perform at the couple’s wedding ceremony or reception but he won’t be competing against the Magic Mike star, 43, on the dance floor.

Lenny joked,

“No, I give that to Channing. I give that to Channing. I can’t mess with Magic Mike!”

News of Tatum and Lenny and Lisa Bonet’s daughter’s engagement broke out in October 2023. The actor popped the question two years after their romance began.

The Batman star showed off her engagement ring during a Halloween party alongside her fiance as they dressed up as characters from the 1968 horror flick Rosemary’s Baby.

A jewelry specialist at the time said that the rock appeared to be a 7-carat, “rare, elongated cushion-cut diamond” estimated to be worth between $475,000 and $550,000.

The couple first met on the set of the thriller Pussy Island which will be Kravitz’s directorial debut.

During an interview with WSJ magazine in August 2022, Zoe said,

Kravitz was married to actor Karl Glusman from June 2019 until their divorce filing in December 2020. They finalized their divorce in August 2021.
