Beyonce’s mom, Tina Knowles has filed for divorce from her second husband, Richard Lawson.

Page Six noted that the 69-year-old filed the documents in a Los Angeles County Court on Wednesday to officially terminate her eight-year-long marriage to Lawson.

As for the reason for their split, Knowles cited irreconcilable differences and listed the date of separation as Tuesday.

The hairstylist is not requesting the court to grant her or her estranged husband any spousal support. They do not have any children.

Rumors of their split circulated earlier this month when fans noticed that Knowles was absent from her husband’s press tour for Black Terror.

They also noticed that the businesswoman changed her Instagram bio from Tina Lawson to Tina Knowles. However, her actual username still contains her married name.

Moreover, the couple also hadn’t posted of one another on their feeds since March.

The couple who started dating in 2013 were friends for a really long time.

They tied the knot on a yacht in Newport Beach, California two years later on April 12, 2015.

Tina spoke about her relationship with the actor during an appearance on the Tamron Hall Show last April,

“I’ve known Richard for 40 years, and when we reconnected, it was, just, I felt like, a gift from God,” she said. “I really mean that because I prayed. After I went through a divorce, it was pretty devastating after 33 years, and I always planned on, if it was in God’s plan, to get married again because I like being married. I like being in a relationship,”

Before dating the actor, the Destiny’s Style author was married to Mathew Knowles with whom she shares daughters Beyonce and Solange.

Tina and Mathew split in 2009 after more than three decades together. They finalized their divorce in 2011.

Tina’s house was burglarized earlier this month

The divorce news comes just weeks after Tina Knowles’ home was recently burglarized.

Police noted that on July 9 robbers took an entire safe of money and jewelry worth a total of $1 million from her lavish Los Angeles estate.

Thankfully, the pop star’s mother was out of town when the break-in occurred.

As soon as the divorce news broke, fans expressed their ideas on it with one writing,

”She looks like a very elegant lady! Too bad she is having these problems.”

Another wrote,

”She’s way to good for him. He looks awful. Ewwwww… wonder what he did with the safe??”

Tina Knowles wished her soon-to-be husband in an Instagram post on their third wedding anniversary. She shared a photo from the special day, writing,

“Cannot believe it has been 3 years since we did the damn thing !!!! Walking on air ❤❤ I love you with my whole being and you feed my soul❤❤Happy Anniversary Baby❤❤.”

Her last Instagram post with Lawson was from a Vanity Fair Oscar Party which she captioned,

“Never been one to waste some good light!!! so we had to sneak a picture at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party last night with my boo. @mrrichardlawson. Thanks for my Makeup @rokaelbeauty Hair @kimblehaircare styling kj@ooody and @shionat. Diamonds @lorraineschwartz. @alexandermcqueen suit.”
