Love Island star Adam Collard got into a brawl with a group of men who attacked him at a nightclub on Tuesday night.
The thugs tore Collard’s shirt as he was trying to defend himself during the altercation.
One of his friends jumped in to try and help him.

Love Island fame Adam Collard gets into a brawl with thugs at a bar who ripped his shirt

Adam Collard was having a great time with his girlfriend Paige Thorne in a nightclub in Newcastle on Tuesday night. The pair were dancing to Alicia Keys‘ Empire State of Mind surrounded by a group of jolly people.

After some time, the reality star was shaken when he and his girlfriend Paige were swarmed by thugs at the Market Shaker bar in his hometown of Newcastle.

Adam pushed some of the men away while trying to protect Paige. It caused the men to be aggressive toward the 26-year-old star and rip his black shirt.

A friend of his even tried to jump in for help. Later, bouncers came in to keep the situation in check.

Paige stood behind her boyfriend who was desperately trying to protect her from the group of goons.

A person who was present at the club revealed:

‘It happened shortly after midnight. Adam and Paige were just on a night, it wasn’t an official appearance or anything.
‘Everyone was trying to crowd him and I think they were trying to crowd Paige and Adam wasn’t happy at all which was understandable.
‘Then people started to rip his top off and it all kicked off. It’s no surprise he wanted to defend himself and was obviously looking out for Paige as well.’

Collard and Thorne plastered smiles on their faces the next day

A spokesperson for the reality star said of the brawl:

‘Adam was trying to enjoy a quiet night in his hometown with friends when a large group of men began aggressively harassing them.
‘Despite several attempts to diffuse the situation, the men continued to become more aggressive and started physically attacking Adam.

‘Understandably, Adam and his friends were extremely shaken up by the situation and felt it was best to leave and we’re safely escorted by the security team outside. No further action has been taken.’

The following day, Collard put on a brave face and stepped out with Thorne for a lunch date. The pair looked happy as they held hands and smiled despite whatever had happened the previous night.

The pair finished fifth place in this year’s series of Love Island. Thorne has already returned to her work as a paramedic and shared some pictures of herself when she reunited with her co-workers.
