Madonna celebrates her debut album’s 40th anniversary

Madonna celebrated her wellness since being hospitalized for a bacterial infection with an Instagram video on Thursday.

In the video where the Queen of Pop is dancing slowly again to her 1984 hit track Lucky Star, she wrote in the captions,

“To be able to move my body and dance just a little bit makes me feel like the Luckiest Star in the world!”

“Thank you to all of my fans and friends!
You must be my lucky stars too!”

She concluded the message by wishing her debut album Madonna a happy 40th birthday with four-star emojis.

Fans and fellow celebs quickly congratulated her on the album and her recovery.

Andy Cohen wrote,

In June,  the Material Girl hitmaker, 64, was rushed to a New York City hospital after being found unresponsive at her house.

The Queen of Pop was initially intubated while receiving treatment at the intensive care unit before being transferred to regular care.

Her manager, Guy Oseary announced that the songstress “developed a serious bacterial infection which led to a several-day stay in the ICU.”

Her manager reported that her daughter Lourdes Leon was by her mommy’s side in the hospital. After being in the ICU for several days, she made a full recovery and returned home.

Oseary, 50, also revealed that the Vogue singer had caught a serious bacterial infection that required proper treatment.

After a few hard days at the hospital, Madonna’s family was seen arriving at her Upper East Side manse.

What caused Madonna’s health to deteriorate?

Page Six reported at the time that the Papa Don’t Preach hitmaker was rehearsing continuously at Nassau Coliseum for her now-postponed world tour.

“She had been putting in 12-hour days,”

“She was strenuously rehearsing and putting in the work.”

The Grammy-winning singer revealed on July 12 that she was recovering from her illness.

Sharing a selfie, she wrote on Instagram,

“My first thought when I woke up in the hospital was my children,”

“My second thought was that I did not want to disappoint anyone who bought tickets to my tour. … My focus now is my health and getting stronger and I assure you, I’ll be back with you as soon as I can!”
