Melania Trump paid her last respects to her late mother, Amalija Knavs by delivering an emotional eulogy at her funeral.
As per Fox News, Mrs. Trump said at The Church of Bethesda-By-The-Sea in Palm Beach, Fla.,
“My mother, the epitome of elegance and grace, exemplified the essence of a true woman,”
“Her love for her husband, Viktor, my father; Ines, my sister; and me was boundless. Her nurturing spirit had no limits, creating a legacy that will last for generations.”
The former First Lady also remembered her matriarch as a soft grandmother who gave her and Donald’s son, Barron ”affection, illuminating his world with love, tender care, and unwavering devotion.”
The ex-model, 53, also recalled her mom’s tales of her times in the fashion industry as she traveled to Paris and other parts of Europe, teaching her the value of “couture” and falling in love with fashion herself.
She said,
“She was a creator of dreams, and I am forever grateful for the beauty she brought into my life,”
“From managing the household to pursuing her own ambition in fashion, she never ceased to amaze with her resilience and determination.”
Melania also shed light on her Slovenian-born mother for embracing her “privilege” of becoming a U.S. citizen alongside her father, Viktor Knavs, in 2018 when Donald, 77, was president.
The mother of one said,
“She vowed to contribute to make a difference in the world filled with uncertainty,”

Melania called Amalija her and Donald’s biggest supporter
Melania also recalled her mother being her and Donald’s biggest supporter when he was in office from 2017 to 2021.
Mrs. Trump said,
“She [had an] exquisite sense of pride as my husband became the President of the United States and as I embarked on a grand odyssey, traveling the corners of the globe as the first lady.”
She continued,
“My father, my sister, Barron, Donald and I will forever remember the echoes of our laughter that we share with our beloved Babi over family dinners and travels. Her conversations flowed effortlessly, adorned with grace and charm. No topic was off limits,”
Melania also called her mother a “friend” and “confident,” who was a “ray of light in the darkest of days.”
While concluding her painful tribute, Melania remained extremely calm and composed, saying,
“And for that, I am entirely grateful. Rest in peace, my beloved mommy,”
Donald Trump and their 17-year-old son, Barron, joined her for the ceremony. Other family members included Trump’s daughters from his previous marriage with Ivana Trump, — Ivanka Trump and Tiffany Trump.
