Meredith Baxter was born Meredith Ann Baxter on the 21st of June 1947 in South Pasadena, California. She is of British-Irish ancestry.

She has two brothers, Richard, and Brian. They were raised in Pasadena.

Family Background

Her father, Whitney Blake is a director. Also, her mother, Tom Baxter is a radio announcer. However, they parted ways in 1953.

After the divorce, she was raised by her mother along with her siblings. Later, Tom married the comedy writer, Allan Mannings.

Initially, she attended James Monroe High School in Los Angeles. Later, she was transferred to Hollywood High School. From High School, she graduated in 1965.

During her senior year in high school, she also attended Interlochen Center for the Arts.
