Split alert! Michael Allio and Danielle Maltby have parted ways

Michael Allio and Danielle Maltby are no longer a romantic couple. The couple called it quits on their relationship after a year of dating.

Michael officially confirmed he and Danielle broke up on Monday’s episode of Jason Tartick‘s Trading Secrets podcast. He confessed,

“It’s still incredibly fresh, I guess I’ll just come out with it: We’re not together anymore, It’s not what we planned, We both threw a lot into this relationship, and it’s really awful when it doesn’t work out.”

The reality TV personality, 39, then admitted that while they have a love for each other, they are not compatible.

“Again, like what we were talking about before, you make your plan, you see your future, you start woking  towards it. And then when things don’t work out—when you realize that love is there, but you’re not necessarily compatible—you mourn the loss not of just that person and that friend in your life but also the future you had envisioned.”

He went on to praise her now ex-girlfriend and said that no one was to blame for their failed relationship.

“It’s to no fault of hers. She poured everything into this, I just have so much admiration. I guess that’s it right now. We’re still working through some things and trying to stay close. But yeah, last couple months have been really tough.”

Allio acknowledged that “starting over again” is “always frightening,” and that knowing that time will heal since he’s been through it before doesn’t make it any easier.

Michael Allio and Danielle Maltby seem to have had a relationship problem since a few months ago

In July, fans started speculating that Michael and Danielle have been experiencing issues in their relationship after they noticed they had been sharing fewer social media posts of each other.

The Bachelorette alum also got candid about their relationship status on the August 2 episode of the She’s All Bach podcast. He said at that time,

“Being in a public relationship, it isn’t fun, And Danielle and I both agree that the only people that should be in our relationship are us two. So, we think just the healthiest way to have a relationship is to keep it private. And we both love each other very much, but we just kinds wanna keep things private.”

Similarly, the breakup rumor was fueled even earlier this month after Danielle deleted all her posts with Michael.

Danielle and Michael were one of the final six couples on Bachelor in Paradise season 8. In November 2022, Allio confirmed that they had been dating outside of the show during the BiP reunion. He said,

“Meeting Danielle changed my life and everything we’ve been doing since then has been getting better and better, I’ve only said I love you to one person in my life, but I love you.”

Adding to that Maltby revealed during the special that she was moving to Akron, Ohio, where Allio lives with his son. Well, Michael Allio is already a father to 7-year-old son James, whom he shared with his late wife Laura.
