Michelle Tumolo is a former lacrosse player and philanthropist. She is renowned for her offensive playing style.

Currently, she is the coach of the Women’s lacrosse team of the University of Oregon.

Michelle Tumolo was born on the 20th of March 1991 in Gloucester County, New Jersey, United States.

Her father, Ernie Tumolo, and her mother, Carol Tumolo are of Latin-Italian ethnicity.

She has four siblings including two brothers and two sisters.

Education & Early Career

She graduated from the Clearview Regional High School in her hometown. When she graduated from High School, she had made records of 270 goals, 121 assists, 364 ground balls, and 308 draw controls.

After that, she joined Syracuse University. During her freshman year at the University, she posted the highest points in the University’s history. Also, she was the second-highest-scoring freshman in the nation.

Moving forward, she secured 66 points in his sophomore year including 33 goals and 33 assists. Also, she was ranked in the second position in the team with 21 ground balls.

In her junior year, she was ranked at the sixth position in the nation with 95 points and 10th in assists with 43 points.

Later, in her senior year, she suffered from an ACL tear while playing against Cornell. That caused her to rest for the entire season.

However, Michelle Tumolo managed to be ranked at the 3rd position on Syracuse’s all-time scoring board with 278 points.

Michelle Tumolo- Professional Life, Career

In 2013, the University of Florida hired Michelle Tumolo as the coaching staff for Florida Gators women’s lacrosse. At the time, she focused on the offensive skills of the team. The following year, she mentored Shannon Gilroy too.

In the summer of 2015, she made it to the national team along with Liz Hogan and Katie Rowan. On the 27th of August 2015, she returned to Syracuse as an assistant coach.

On the 5th of July 2016, she became a coach for the University of Oregon’s team, the Ducks. As a coach, she coordinates the offensive strategies of the team. In 2016, she was the first pick of Philly Force for the United Women’s Lacrosse League Draft.

Besides her professional career, Michelle Tumolo is a philanthropist too. As of now, she is working for the campaigns, Lacrosse Vs. Cancer 2020 by raising the funds for cancer patients.
