Naga Munchetty is not the victim of domestic abuse.
But her former Channel 4 colleagues believed she was a domestic abuse victim after she turned up to work with cuts and bruises on her face.

She is competitive when it comes to sports. She said,

“I always loved squash. I have numerous cuts and a bad scar from where my husband slammed the racket into my face. With James and I it is always competitive and I am one of those annoying players who get in the way.”

Munchetty cleared the misunderstanding and said,

“He hit me with the forehand. So I have this scar, I thought he had broken my jaw. There was blood everywhere so we drove to hospital.”

After she reached to hospital, she was asked if she was a victim of domestic violence when James was not there. She cleared it by saying that he has never used his hands on anyone. When she got back to work at Channel 4 News with an injury everyone was concerned.

She said that it was a squash injury. After the incident, her husband refused to play squash with her for three years.

Naga Munchetty and husband James Haggar

Naga Munchetty and James Haggar walked down the aisle in 2007. They have been together since then. They dated for years before getting married. Their wedding was a grand ceremony held in the presence of close family members and friends.

They first met each other on a golf course as both of them have an interest in golf. Similarly, they met many times before dating.

The couple is happily married and loves spending time with each other. When they get free from their busy schedule, they either go hiking or play golf on the nearest golf course.

Her husband is a television director as well as a Broadcast Consultant and has worked for various news agencies including FIVE News/ OK TV, CNBC International, ITV Studios, and SKY Network. Likewise, the two don’t have any children yet. But they have pet cats.
