Jessa Duggar wants a daughter

Jessa Duggar and her mother Michelle Duggar were with Jinger Duggar during and after the birth of Jinger’s daughter Felicity.

The healthy baby girl was delivered on 19 July 2018 in the morning at 4.37 am. She weighed 8 lbs and 3 oz and is 19.5 inches long. It is Jinger and her husband Jeremy Vuolo’s first child.

Jessa revealed that after meeting her precious niece, she wants to have a daughter of her own. She said that she did love to have an addition of a baby girl to her family dynamics since now she already has two sons.

Jessa and her husband Ben Seewald have two children- son Spurgeon, 2, and a second son Henry who is 17 months old now. Jessa now wants to add a daughter to her family.

Duggar said to US Weekly:

“I would be overjoyed if we were to find out we were expecting again. It would be sweet to have a baby girl,”

Though she is excited at the thought of bearing a baby girl soon, she is also amused at how things would change with the coming of a baby girl. She said:

“We’d probably feel like we were having to start again from ground zero if we had a girl thrown in the mix,”

Jessa continued:

The possibility of other options

Jessa and Ben Seewald have kept their options open. The duo was even considering adopting a child or taking some child up for foster care.

But they are still thinking about these options and want to consider what would happen with these options in the future for them.

In Arkansas where Jessa resides there is a rule that couples who want to adopt should be at least married for two years. Jessa and Ben fulfill this criterion.

This would be the first time that a Duggar child is considering adoption because it has always been a biological child for all of them. Jessa had said:

“The desire to adopt or possibly foster is one that continues to weigh heavily on our hearts.”

Jessa is currently enjoying her stay in Texas where she and her mother traveled to be with Jinger Duggar’s first born-Felicity.

Jinger Duggar’s sister Jessa and mom Michelle Duggar are assisting Jinger in the care of her newborn and also getting her to be used to and cope with the life of a new mom. They are acclimatizing her to the new role.

Duggar had also helped in getting ready and decorating Felicity’s nursery.

Jessa and Ben’s wedding

Jessa and Ben got married 4 years ago at the First Baptist Church in Bentonville, Arkansas. There were more than 1000 guests and the couple had written their own vows.

They also preferred a first private kiss rather than a public one. Pastor Mike Schadt told:

“They wanted their very first kiss ever to be in private. It was important to the both of them.” But to make sure the crowd saw at least one Duggar kiss, Jim Bob and Michelle obliged and quickly smooched instead.”
