Paris Hilton opens up about her surrogacy journey

Paris Hilton said that one of the main reasons why she chose to use a surrogate to welcome her and her husband Carter Reum‘s two children was because of the trauma she endured during her younger years.

During a candid interview with Romper, the socialite revealed that she has ”so much PTSD from what she went through” at Utah’s Provo Canyon School for painful teenage time.

She told the outlet on Thursday,

“If I’m in a doctor’s office, I get a shot, anything, I will literally have a panic attack and I can’t breathe,”
“I just knew that would not be healthy for me or the baby, growing inside of someone who has such high anxiety.”

The heiress also opened up in 2020 about being physically, mentally, and emotionally abused at the school.

Hilton claimed that the abuse also included nonconsensual gynecological examinations which happened against her will.

However, the school previously said that they “do not condone or promote any form of abuse.”

The school which is now under a different company also told Romper that they can not compare past “operations of student experience.”

Previously, the Simple Life alum also revealed her fear of pregnancy in an interview with Glamour UK. She said at the time that death and childbirth were the “two things that scare [her] more than anything in the world.”

She said at the time,

“I’m just so scared,”
“Leading back to Provo of even being in a doctor’s office, just all of that, the shots, the IVs that they put in.”

Will Paris Hilton welcome a third child?

Paris also admitted that it would be almost impossible for her to juggle her hectic work schedule along with the side effects of pregnancy.

Noting that her days are sometimes planned a year earlier, Hilton said,

“My schedule is out of control,”
“There never would’ve been the right time to do it because there’s literally no time to do anything in my life,”

Hilton secretly welcomed two children within the last year.

The star has not taken any maternity leave since welcoming her and Reum’s first son Phoenix in January and daughter London last month. However, she is considering slowing down a bit now that she has two kids to look after.

Despite a difficult road to motherhood, Hilton revealed that her “life is finally complete.”

While the entrepreneur feels two kids are perfect, she doesn’t mind having an extra one.

She recalled,

“I used to look at my friends who’d be like, ‘Oh, I have to go home to my kids and my husband,’ like, ‘You’re so lame. This is so fun. I can’t imagine being like that,’”
“Now I’m one of those boring people, and I couldn’t be happier. I couldn’t imagine it any other way.”
