Peta Murgatroyd is pregnant, expecting a third child with her husband Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
The pregnancy news comes almost four months after the couple welcomed their rainbow child, a son Rio in June 2023.
They are also parents to 6-year-old son Shai.

‘Pregnancy alert‘! Peta Murgatroyd and Maksim Chmerkovskiy are expanding their family.

The professional Latin dancer, 37, took to Instagram on Monday, February 5, to share the happy news that she’s pregnant with Maksim’s third child.

She posted a video of herself telling her husband she’s been feeling nauseous over a video chat. Murgatroyd said to Chmerkovskiy that they needed to leave their home because they needed more space.

She then started to eat the pickles and said she had been craving for while preparing two baby bottles. While Maksim became confused with Peta’s activities until she pulled out a positive pregnancy test.

The soon-to-be dad of three, 44, then said,

“You’re pregnant?! Wow, I’m tearing up,”

Similarly, the Dancing With the Stars alum captioned the post, writing,

“We Are Having A Baby, Yes we know…we just had a baby… haha!”

Peta Murgatroyd announced her third pregnancy less than six months after Son Rio’s arrival

Four months ago, Peta gave birth to her second child a son named Rio. In an Instagram post, she shared that although her third pregnancy arrived earlier than expected, they were pleased with the news.

“This was very unexpected at (4 months postpartum with Rio) but we are sooooo happy and so ready to be a family of 5 soon!”

She continued,

“Surpising @maksimc on this FaceTime with my two friends secretly filming from different angles made it all the more hilarious. It took one hour for me to get the courage to call him and when he wasn’t catching on we all couldn’t stop laughing in the kitchen. I had the “I’m so sick story” the pickle and 2 bottles HAHA! Oh Maks.”

Murgatroyd additionally pondered her experience with infertility, saying

“After everything we’ve been through with miscarriages and IVF we’re beyond blessed and know we are uber lucky for this miracle to happen to us. We’re just so happy that we can finally tell you guys the good news #pregnant #partyoffive #preggo #preggers #letsgo #bobbiepartner.”
