Phil Collins attends his wife Orianne’s jewelry store inauguration in spite of his frail health!

English noted musician Phil Collins, 69 was by his wife’s side to support her during her Miami jewelry shop inauguration. This was despite his frail health.

The Occasion

Phil Collins’ wife Orianne, 47 had turned into an entrepreneur and is opening a new jewelry store in Miami. It was a joyous occasion for the couple and Phil was by her side to encourage and support her in her new venture.

The couple’s looks

It was noted that Orianne has undergone a dramatic transformation. She was not at all looking like her old self from any angle. Orianne was sporting ample bronzed makeup and it matched well with her blonde locks. She had worn a glitzy mini dress and was holding a statement Chanel bag.

Phil, on the other hand, preferred a much more casual look. He was spotted in his light blue polo shirt and black trousers. This he had teamed with a brown cap. He was with his walking stick to help him walk as he attended the event where his presence was a must.

Phil was seen comfortably seated in his armchair beside his glamorous wife and posed for the shutterbugs.

The opening ceremony

The couple looked adorable and put on an affectionate display. Phil kissed his wife after she cut the ribbon to the store. Though Phil appeared a little frail, he seemed to be in high spirits for the inauguration and was beaming to the cameras.

Their relationship

Phil and Orianne tied the knot in 1999. They seemed happy together and had two children. The elder son called Nicholas is 16 while the younger Matthew is 13.

After 10 years of marriage, the couple decided to part ways and divorced in 2009. Phil had to pay Orianne a whopping $ 25 million as a settlement for the divorce.

The reunion

The couple remained separate for around 7 years but soon reconciled and was back with each other in the year 2016. The reason for the comeback was that Orianne had suffered a paralyzing back injury in December 2014. She had an operation for the slipped disc and had suffered from paralysis following it.

Phil was with her throughout and supported her morally and financially during the ill-health period. Romance rekindled between the two and they came together soon after.

Phil’s ill-health

Phil had his health issues in 2017. He fell on his way to the bathroom and had to cancel and postpone a number of his shows. He also had a foot drop.

His rep told Express UK:

“Phil suffers from ‘drop foot’ as a result of a back operation which makes it difficult to walk.”

The spokesperson added:

“He rose in the middle of the night to go to the toilet and slipped in his hotel room, hitting his head in the fall on a chair.”

But such health calamities were not going to stop Phil from doing what he likes best-music. He restarted the ‘I’m not dead yet’ tour.

He would perform and sit in between the gigs. His vocals remain unaffected by all his injuries and ill health. BRAVO! That is in a true sense the spirit!

He is now planning for the US Tour from this October.
