Fans remember Princess Diana, who could have been the queen

On the occasion of King Charles III‘s coronation fans who watched the telecast of the service remembered the late Princess Diana and that she would have made a great queen.

One Twitter user shared a series of pictures of the princess and wrote,

“The real Queen of Great Britain will always be Diana #CharlesIII #Coronation,”

Another shared a smiling photo of Diana, writing,

“The Queen we never had. What a sad sad story. The Queen of all our Hearts. #Coronation,”

A third Royal fan added,

One fan pointed out that Diana would not have paid any interest in the pompous ceremony had she been alive. They wrote,

“Nah. She’d moved on,”
“She would be sipping a cocktail without a care. She would not have been petty like half of Twitter. She would love her son, the Heir of the throne, and supported her family. #facts#coronation.”

Meghan and Harry’s close friend photographer Misan Harriman also seemingly shaded the royal family on the King’s special day.

He shared a picture of Archie looking at Diana’s photo to wish him a 4th birthday that coincides with the coronation, writing, “Wishing you the happiest of birthdays Archie,”

Charles and Diana’s marriage was nothing like the fairytale she had dreamt of. The marriage was full of toxic arguments and infidelity by both of them. However, the reason their marriage actually tore apart was because of Charles’s longstanding affair with his now wife, Camilla Parker Bowles.

Diana died in a car accident in Paris in 1997. She was only 36.

Diana blamed Camilla for the breakdown of her marriage

Just two years before her passing, she sat down for a bombshell interview with journalist Martin Bashir where she predicted that she would never be the Queen of the country.

The journalist asked,

“Do you think you will ever be Queen?”

Diana responded,

“No, I don’t, no,”
”I’d like to be a queen of people’s hearts, in people’s hearts. But I don’t see myself as being queen of this country,”
“I don’t think many people would want me to be queen. Actually, when I say many people, I mean this establishment that I am married into.”

In the interview, the princess also described her husband’s longtime affair with Camilla, saying, “There were three of us in this marriage, so it was a bit crowded,”
