The royal family is adding a new bundle of joy

Princess Eugenie is expanding her family members with her husband Jack Brooksbank. The couple is expecting their second child together.

The pregnant mama, 32, took to Instagram on Tuesday, January 24, to announce the happy news that she is currently pregnant with her second child.

She shared a photo of her 1-year-old son August Philip Hawke, born in February 2021, kissing her stomach and wrapping his arms around her legs. Similarly, she simply captions the post,

“We’re so excited to share that there will be a new addition to our family this summer,”

According to her, the family will be four this upcoming summer 2023. However, there is not much detail shared regarding the gender of the forthcoming baby.

Buckingham Palace separately issued a statement on Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s expectant

In a brief statement, Princess Eugenie’s pregnancy was revealed separately by Buckingham Palace. The announcement from the palace reads,

“Princess Eugenie and Mr. Jack Brooksbank are pleased to announce they are expecting their second child this summer,”

“The family are delighted and August is very much looking forward to being a big brother.”

The second child of Princess Eugenie and Jack will be the first great-grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II to be born after her passing in September.

Similarly, the unborn child will be the thirteenth in line to succeed the British monarch.

How long have Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank been together?

Princess Eugenie first met Jack Brooksbank in 2010 while skiing in Verbier, Switzerland. It was “love at first sight,” Eugenie remarked in their engagement interview.

They began interacting after Eugenie moved to New York in 2013 to work for the online auction company Paddle8. After that, their romance blossomed, and they have been together ever since.

The 36-year-old English businessman and the princess had been dating for several years before he proposed to her in 2018 during their vacation in Nicaragua.
