Princess Iman chose Dior on her wedding day
Princess Iman of Jordan married her fiance Jameel Alexander Thermiotis on March 12. The Royal Wedding comes just eight months after the Royal Hashemite Court announced the couple’s engagement.
For her big day, the royal princess looked like a timeless princess bride in a white wedding dress by Dior with a high illusion neckline and long sleeves cuffed with the same lace.
The 26-year-old daughter of Queen Rania and King Abdullah II of Jordan married Jameel in Amman, Jordan on Sunday.
The pattern of her stunning dress matched the embroidery on her sweeping veil which was tucked into her tiara.
The headpiece, however, came as a surprise as people thought the princess would wear her mother Queen Rania’s Diamond Tiara after the latter posted a photo of her daughter wearing the tiara last week.
The mother of the bride also wore Dior for her daughter’s big day. The Queen looked beautiful in a pleated beige gown with a high neckline and elbow-length sleeves. Rania’s dress is from the Autumn 2022 Couture collection.
Sharing some amazing snaps of the royals wearing their dresses, Dior Couture PR manager Mathilde Favier wrote on Instagram,
“Just married !! All my deepest congratulations to the bride and the groom and long life to the Happy married couple?♀️?♂️♥️,”
Iman wore big diamond earrings with her beautiful brunette hair swept back into a low bun with loose face-framing pieces that completed her amazing look.
Thermiotis, 28, on the other hand, wore a classic three-piece suit with a tie.
Iman’s elder brother Hussein is also marrying his fiancee this year
Crown Prince Hussein walked his little sister down the aisle. The bride and groom exchanged rings during the intimate indoor ceremony.
Queen Rania posted photos from the royal wedding via her official page, writing,
“A day unlike any other. Thank you all for sharing in our joy,”
Iman is the eldest daughter of Queen Rania and King Abdullah II of Jordan. They also share Crown Prince Hussein, 28, Princess Salma, 22, and Prince Hashem, 18.
The wedding took place just a week after the Royal Hashemite Court revealed the date of their wedding in public.
The court said in a statement on March 5,
“The Royal Hashemite Court is pleased to announce that the wedding of Her Royal Highness Princess Iman bint Abdullah II and Mr. Jameel Alexander Thermiotis will take place on 12 March 2023,”
Iman is a graduate of the International Academy in Amman and Parson’s School of Design in New York. Her now-husband was born in Caracas, Venezuela, and works in finance in New York City.
This year is full of celebrations for Jordan’s Royal Family. Crown Prince Hussein is also set to marry his fiancee, Rajwa Al-Saif on June 1.
