The actress who was married to the King of Rock n’ Roll from 1967 to 1973 revealed why she never had the intention of remarrying during a Q&A event at the South Point Casino in Las Vegas Friday.

Priscilla said as per People,

“To be honest with you, I never wanted to marry after him. I never had any desire.”

“No one could ever match him.”

The businesswoman, 78, didn’t directly clear the rumors that she vowed to remarry while the musician was alive, she admitted that he would have been heartbroken to see her with someone else.

She added,

“I just don’t think that he could handle that,”

Priscilla who had only one child with Elvis – daughter Lisa Marie Presley, revealed why the couple didn’t have more kids during their marriage.

She explained,

“Elvis felt he had a very busy schedule and he did have a bit of guilt that he wasn’t around that much when Lisa was younger,”
“With his scheduling and his touring, he just felt he wasn’t around enough to give a lot of attention to having another child.”

Elvis passed away after a fatal heart attack at age 42. His death came just four years after the couple ended their marriage in 1977.

The biopsy obtained by People showed that the Burning Love singer had several prescription drugs in his body at the time of his death.

Why did Priscilla and Elvis have only one child?

Last week, during a bombshell interview with The Post columnist Piers Morgan, Presley recalled how she learned about her ex-husband’s tragic death.

She said that one of Elvis’ managers informed her about Elvis’s death.

Priscilla explained,

”I can still hear Joe Esposito’s words, ‘Cilla, Elvis is dead,’ and that was like, I just couldn’t imagine him ever, especially at his age and all, still so young and wanting to do so much and had so much planned, and not having him, not talking to him, not having him be the father of our child,”

She continued,

Last week, it was confirmed that Priscilla will be buried next to Elvis in the Meditation Garden of Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee. The couple’s daughter, Lisa Marie is also buried in the same grounds.

Other members who lay in rest with Elvis are Elvis’s mom, Gladys Presley, grandmother, Minnie Mae, father, Vernon Presley, Lisa Marie and her son, and Keough’s brother, Benjamin Keough, who died in 2020 by suicide.

Lisa Marie passed away on January 12 after suffering a massive cardiac arrest due to complications from a small bowel obstruction. She was 54.

Priscilla reflected on her only child’s death as unbearable.
