Ranvir Singh started her career in 2002 in BBC Radio Lancashire with a six-month contract. Then, she moved to BBC GMR to cover the 2002 Common Wealth Games held in Manchester. Later, she joined BBC North West regional news.

Ranvir Singh worked there as a journalist and a bulletin presenter. She had her first national presenting role was on Good Friday in 2006 where she co-presented Manchester Passion also known as live BBC Three play that retold the last hours of Jesus Christ.

On September 10, 2007, she joins long-serving presenter Gordon Burns as co-presenter on BBC North West Tonight and also worked as a cover presenter for the program called Late night and weekend breakfast shows on BBC Radio 5 Live.

Later, she announced that she would not be returning to the BBC and would be joining the ITV News. She then started being a presenter on the ITV program called Daybreak from 2012–2014 and Good Morning Britain from 2014–present. Ranvir also appeared on the Celebrity Chase on 11 March 2018.
