Rapper Kodak Black Wanted By Police For Failing Drug Test And Violating His Bail Conditions
- Rapper Kodak Black is wanted by Florida police for violating his bail conditions and failing his drug tests.
- He was arrested in July of last year for possession and trafficking of a controlled substance without a prescription.
Kodak Black has failed his drug tests
The police in Florida are currently seeking Kodak Black because he broke the rules of his bail and did not pass a drug test. TMZ reports that a judge signed an arrest warrant for the 25-year-old rapper on Thursday, instructing officers to detain him if they come across him.
Kodak committed two violations recently, which led to the warrant.
He didn’t show up at the designated facility for his drug test in early February. The following week, he provided a sample, but it was positive for drugs, specifically fentanyl, although the amount was unspecified.
Kodak was originally arrested in July 2022
In July of last year, Kodak was arrested for illegally possessing and trafficking a controlled substance. The police found 31 oxycodone pills in his car in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
Kodak was able to post his $75K bail, but he was required to stay drug-free. If he violates this condition, he will be held without bail until his next hearing. Recently, Kodak has been sued along with Justin Bieber by two victims of a shooting that occurred outside of Bieber’s Super Bowl afterparty.
The incident took place in February of 2022 outside of The Nice Guy restaurant in West Hollywood. Mark Schaefer and Adam Rahman, who were injured in the shooting, claimed that Kodak played a significant role in escalating the altercation that led to shots being fired.
The rapper reportedly got into a fight to protect his friend after an unknown attacker targeted someone from his group. However, the victims suing Kodak and Bieber alleged that Kodak’s actions worsened the situation.

Kodak Black has a long history of arrests and controversy
In July of last year, Kodak was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and trafficking without a prescription. When police pulled him over during a traffic stop in Ft Lauderdale, they discovered over 31 oxycodone pills in his car.
Despite posting $75,000 bail and being released, he was ordered to maintain a drug-free status.
This is not the rapper’s first legal run-in. He was previously arrested for trespassing on New Year’s Day last year and pleaded guilty to a 2016 sexual assault charge in 2021.
In 2019, he was sentenced to 46 months in federal prison for multiple weapons charges. He was apprehended before performing at the Rolling Loud Festival in Miami and accused of providing false information on forms used to purchase three firearms from a gun shop in the same city.
In April 2019, there was controversy surrounding him after he said he would wait to have sexual relations with Lauren London, the girlfriend of the deceased rapper Nipsey Hussle, who had been shot and killed a few days prior.
Black’s proposal was that if Lauren needed a year to grieve, he would wait that long for her. He said he would “give her a whole year” if she “might need a whole year to be crying and shit for him.”
His comments were widely criticized and Justin Credible, a DJ for Power 106 radio station, declared that the station would boycott Kodak Black’s music.
