The reality star Girardi shared the first picture of her 28-year-old police officer son Tommy on her Instagram account.

She was keeping the identity of her son far from the media and internet for years as he is a police officer. The mom who was maintaining the privacy of her son shared his picture for the very first time.

She posted a snap of Tommy all dressed in his uniform with the caption which reads:

“People say we look alike,”

However, the reality star mom turned off the option for her fans to comment on the post and even mentioned it in the caption.

Moreover, she also gushed about her son in one of the interviews with Andy Cohen on his SiriusXM show Radio Andy. During her talk, the reality star mentioned herself as a proud mom.

She mentioned:

“I am a proud mom, you know, of my essential worker son. He’s out there working like every other man and woman.”

Meanwhile, in the interview with the host, she also mentioned during all this COVID-19pandemic, she is feeling extra protective of her son. Furthermore, she also added that everybody is concerned about their families.

This is the first time the reality star has opened up about her son in the media. During her long career in singing, acting, and reality television, she has always protected the privacy of her son.

In between the interview, she also mentioned:

“He didn’t choose this life. I chose this life and we try to protect them. I don’t care if he’s an adult and he carries a gun and a badge. At the end of the day. He’s still my boy.”

Though, she starred in the five seasons of “Real Housewives”, she always chose not to speak about her son on camera. Tommy is the only child of the reality television personality.

Back in 2017, the reality star mentioned that the mother-son duo is very close to each other and he still lives with her. At the time, she also said she loves him to with her, and Tommy is also the free security for her.

At the time, she also added as her husband attorney Thomas Girardi travels most of the time, it is nice to have her son with her.

Tommy did his graduation from the Los Angeles Police Academy in 2014. He also served as a former explorer at the Jersey City Police Activity League. As a mom, though she is worried about her son, she is also proud and supports her son.

The mom once stated:

“It’s a dangerous profession. I’ve known my son was going to be in law enforcement from the time he could walk and talk. That’s all he’s ever wanted and that’s kind of your role as parent is to honor who your children really are.”
