Riccardo Tisci worked for companies such as Puma, Antonio Berardi, and Coccapani before signing a three-year contract with Ruffo Research, a company that has helped to start the careers of several fashion designers like Sophia Kokosalaki.

Riccardo Tisci presented his first Riccardo Tisci Collection for Fall 2005/2006 in an off-season display during Milan Fashion Week in September 2004.

Givenchy

Riccardo Tisci was chosen as creative director of Givenchy Women’s haute couture and ready-to-wear lines in February 2005.

Likewise, he first presented his Givenchy haute couture collection during Paris Fashion Week in July 2005.

Alongside Jean Paul Gaultier and Dolce & Gabbana, Riccardo designed the outfits for Madonna’s Sticky & Sweet Tour in 2008, and in 2009 he created another custom for the tour’s opening song Candy Shop, for the tour’s encore.

In March 2018, Riccardo Tisci was announced as Burberry’s new chief creative officer after Christopher Bailey.

He lasted until September 2022, when it was stated that Tisci will be replaced as the creative director of Burberry by English designer Daniel Lee.
