Singer and TV personality Traci Braxton is no more! The singer and reality tv personality passed away at the age of 50.
On Saturday, one of her sisters, the singer Toni Braxton confirmed the news of her death via Instagram in a statement from the Braxton family.
She shared a picture of herself along with four sisters including the late Braxton with a heartfelt caption. She wrote,
” It is with the utmost regret that we inform you of the passing of our sister, Traci. Needless to say, she was a bright light, a wonderful daughter, an amazing sister, a loving mother, wife, grandmother and a respected performer. We will miss her dearly,”

Similarly, Traci’s husband Kevin Surratt told to NBC News that she had been battling Esophageal cancer and had been privately undergoing a series of treatments.
According to her publicist Tomasina Perkins-Washington, her family including her sisters, mother, and friends were by her side during her last breath. Her son, Kevin Surratt Jr. paid tribute via IG to his mother’s death. He wrote,
“When I heard the news about my mother being sick first thing she said was I’m going to fight and beat this. She fought to the end and today she’s at peace.”

She also appeared on “Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Starts” with her husband Kevin Surratt. Besides, she’s known for her solo debut album, “Crash & Burn (2014)” and a follow-up album, “On Earth (2018)”.
Braxton was born on April 2, 1971, the third child of Michael and Evelyn. She grew up in a religious household in Severn, Md.
