Robert De Niro is having the best time of his life.

The actor celebrated a birthday milestone on Thursday and received thousands of particular birthday messages on social media. Among the people wishing him his 80th birthday, his daughter Drena De Niro shared a special tribute to her darling dad.

The actress re-shared a post from Debi Mazar that featured a black-and-white photo of the legendary actor.

She captioned the post, “Happy 80 you know who!”

Mazar’s post’s caption read, “Happy Birthday Bob! Wishing you a happy 80th! Much love to you & the family! Have fun tonight! 🕺🏿❤️🇮🇹🌶️💯💋🍾.”

Just before his big day, De Niro took in a performance of FLEX at Lincoln Center in New York City on Wednesday night. He even appeared backstage for a meet-and-greet and photos with the entire cast.

For the birthday dinner, the Casino actor took his close friends and family out in New York City to enjoy a special night. His girlfriend, Tiffany Chen also supported her beau on the fun day.

Among the famous names who attended the dinner were Paul McCartney with his wife Nancy Shevell and famous film director Francis Ford Coppola.

People confirmed that Star Wards franchise creator George Lucas, Pulp Fiction actor Christopher Walken and civil rights activist Al Sharpton were also at the NYC hotspot.

Robert De Niro’s had ups and downs this year

It has been a very busy year for the actor both personally and professionally.

He recently starred in the comedy film About My Father and is already gathering awards buzz for his future Martin Scorsese movie Killers of the Flower Moon.

One of the main events that happened to him this year was becoming a dad again at 79. He welcomed his seventh child, a baby girl named Gia Virginia, his first one with his girlfriend Chen.

Chen and Robert first sparked dating rumors with a PDA-filled outing in August 2021.

They initially met years before filming a movie together in 2015. Tiffany who is a martial arts instructor by profession did a small role in The Intern which starred De Niro.

Talking about what she loves about her beau, Chen said in an interview with King, 68,

“How much he loves his family. That might make me a little teary-eyed.”

While this year brought many positive changes in the actor’s life, it was also filled with tragedy with the death of his grandson Leandro De Niro Rodriguez.

Just a few days before the actor’s birthday, Drena celebrated her son’s 20th birthday, who was found dead on July 2 in New York City from an accidental drug overdose.
