Ross Mathews is officially married to Dr. Wellinthon Garcia. The RuPaul’s Drage Race judge tied the knot with his fiance at Almar Resort in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The ceremony took place on Saturday, May 7 at a beachside destination wedding.

They wed at the same resort in Puerto Vallarta where they met two years ago. While speaking to PEOPLE magazine, Ross disclosed,

“It was a destination wedding. So we invited 130 people, thinking maybe 50 people would come. But 110 people came — and I’m thrilled!”

Well, congrats to the newlyweds from our team. The two got engaged last year back in February 2021. The TV personality announced his engagement by sharing the stunning photo with his then-fiance Wellington Garcia.

He also captioned the post with a loving message for his then-husband-to-be.

“Fiancé, you stay! I am so proud to announce that after over a year together – navigating a pandemic, quarantine and opposite coasts – the smartest, funniest and kindest man I’ve ever met said, ‘Yes!’ Dr. García, I love you. A lifetime of adventure awaits.”

How did they meet?

Ross and Wellington began dating right before the pandemic. Initially, they kept private about their relationship. Mathews disclosed that they had to date through quarantine and make Zoom dates work.

He revealed,

“I’m just so happy and I’ve been so private about this relationship and it feels so weird because I tell you guys everything in my podcast and here on this show. So I’m so happy to be sharing this with all of you,”

The two had a long-distance relationship as Mathews lives in Los Angeles and Garcia in New York. Regardless, the couple struggled to decide where to hold the ceremony. Mathews recalls while speaking to PEOPLE,

“It caused me such anxiety. But Drew Barrymore told us, ‘Do Do it where you’re supposed to do it, and the people who are supposed to be there will be there.’ So we chose the place where we first met”

RuPaul’s Drag Race star wore a gold suit over a white button-down shirt and black loafers on their big day. Whereas, another groom wore a dark blue suit and matching bowtie.

Both grooms sported their tuxedos from Robbie and Co.

Wedding Ceremony

The lovely couple’s nuptials were coordinated by celebrity wedding and event planner Michael Russo. Barrymore served as the couple’s flower girl. Further, the event was definitely a family affair as Garcia’s father represented the couple’s parents.

While his sister Racquel served as the pride of honor. Similarly, Mathew’s brother Eric was the best man. The newlywed couple exchanged rings designed by Jean Kemanjian at OIS & Co. Evan and Andrew, their nephews were the ring bearers.

For their honeymoon, Mathews disclosed the pair will ‘spend a few days in Puerto Vallarta with all our guests’ before moving to ‘Las Alamandas resort’ for a more traditional honeymoon.
