Sam Pottorff and his childhood

Sam Pottorff was born in Laguna Beach, California on 19 October 1995. His full name is Samuel John Pottorff and his father’s name is also Sam. His mother is Leslie. Sam has three more siblings: two sisters who are Mia and Cloe and brother Levi.

Unfortunately, Sam had a tough childhood. His parents divorced when he was small. Initially, Sam’s mother took the custody of the kids. But when she migrated to Germany, the kids were in the USA and left to themselves.

Sam had homeschooling. He was not good in studies. Later, Sam joined the public charter high school, “Opportunities for Learning” which is located in Dana Point, California. However, due to bullying, he left the school half-way.

Start of career

Sam, in 2012, created a YouTube channel along with his friend, Kian Lawley. The channel did well in a short time. Hence he formed a group with more people that included Ricky Dillon, Connor Franta, Trevor Moran, J.C. Caylen, and Ricardo Oridires. This became highly popular. The group has several tours together and garnered a lot of fans. But they separated in 2015.

Sam went solo after that. His videos were liked by his fans and the video titled How to Know If a Guy Likes You went viral. Sam is honest and straightforward on his vlogs. Most videos are funny and entertaining. Despite the fame, Sam is modest and down to earth.
