Shane Dawson, American internet personality, 35 was dating American youTuber, Lisa Schwartz, 40 from December 2011 to 2015. But they separated after that and Shane came out as bisexual. Subsequently, Shane posted a video in July 2015 on his social media in which he confessed that he is bisexual.

In the video, Shane spoke about the doubts and fears he had in doing so. Further, he added that it was hard for him to make the decision. It was an emotional video that lasted for fifteen minutes. And, Shane was just 26 years of age at that time. He said:

“This is something I’ve come to the conclusion through therapy and from being honest with myself,”
“I am bisexual.”

The aim of making the video was to help others who are confused about their own sexuality, he said. Shane added:

“There are a lot of coming out videos of people who are gay or lesbian and they’re so confident,”
“But it made me cry because I’m not that, I don’t know who I am 100%. And I know that a lot of you guys might feel the same way.”

Shane is grateful

After the video was uploaded, it gathered a lot of views. And Shane also got a lot more fans. Expressing his thanks to his subscribers, Shane tweeted:

“thank u guys for the support. i know “bisexual” is something that gets made fun of & its scary to talk about it but just know u arent alone.”

And the next year, in 2016, Shane began a relationship with Ryland Adams, 32. Ryland is also a YouTuber like Shane. On 19 March, the two got engaged. And in August 2021, Shane shifted base from Calabasas, CA to Colorado.

Additionally, Shane and Ryland together purchased a farm in Colorado worth USD 2.2 million. And on 3 January 2023, their relationship hit another milestone when they wed in Colorado.

The couple posted a photo of them kissing outside the courthouse. And the caption read:

“We’re married!!”

It was an intimate ceremony with doughnuts in place of a wedding cake. Both were dressed casually.

Ryland had written a note in 2015 in which he said:

“one aspect I’m missing in my life is love.”
“I want someone to share my successes with, to be there and someone to experience the world with,”
“I intend to work hard. I intend to find love. I intend to be in a healthy relationship. I intend to do what I know is right for me and choose happy.”

And lo and behold! in 2016, he found that love. The couple, Ryland and Shane planned to have children. And in July 2023, they announced that they would be parents of twins who would be born by surrogacy. The babies already have names; Jet Adams Yaw and Max Adams Yas. And the expected due date is 4 January 2024.

Lisa, on the other side, dated comedian Jeff Galante. In November 2019, she made an announcement about her engagement. And two years later on 8 November 2021, she and Jeff married in a small ceremony.
