Sasha DJ is well known British DJ, the record producer. He has also come in the list of Grammy Award nominee. He became World No. 1 DJ in 2000 which was decided by a poll conducted by DJ Magazine. He is also a  four-time International Dance Music Awards winner and four-time DJ Awards winner.

Sasha was born on 4 September 1969. He was born in Wales but spend his most of the time with his mother in Welsh town of Sandy Croft, Flint shire, North Wales.

His birth name is Alexander Paul Coe. His father’s and mother’s names are though unknown. Sasha’s mother taught French at Ha warden High School.

Sasha DJ has passed the entrance exam for Hatfield College at age 17. However, he did not like Epsom and left before completing his A-Level examinations. He doesn’t continue his schooling but rather moved to Bangor to live with his father and stepmother. He wasn’t at that time interested in Piano but his stepmother forced him to take piano lessons. But it became so beneficial to his music career later.

Sasha began his career in the last 1980 by playing acid house dance music. He thereon around 1993, partnered with  DJ John Dig weed. He visited different places internationally and also started producing a series of mixes. After honing his deck technique, Sasha’s first big break came when he was offered a residency at Stokes legendary club, Shelly.

When all the other DJ’s were busy and trying to play in the US House, Sasha was busy in his style. He was much uplifting his career by trying and mixing different piano led Italian House playing acapella tracks. He used to try it over the top kept dance floors full and elevated Sasha to hero status. Shelly then earned his career professionally and was well known to become the launch pad for his residency at Renaissance. Sasha was more in fame when he created his own niche and helped to bring forge a new style in UK house music. Meanwhile, at Renaissance, two major things happened. Sasha mixed the UK DJ mix album which none has ever done. And he met John Dig with whom he assured his partnership and now known as Northern Exposure.

After that Sasha and John have played together on different five continents. They also have mixed three Northern Exposure albums. It was sold to more than one million people worldwide.

Sash then after has produced different multiple UK-charting singles. He is far known for his remixed tracks for artists such as Madonna, The Chemical Brothers, and Hot Chip. His remix of Felix DA House cat’s “Watching Cars Go By” made him to the greatest success by entering in 2004 Grammy nomination. Sasha has his own style of remixing and production. He combined different electronic music genres and used to make it difficult for critics to adapt his musical style.

After being a well-known producer and DJ and securing his career, Sasha worked with younger producers and DJ including BT and James Zabiela. They say that they are so much influenced by his musical styles and techniques. His use of live audio engineering equipment has been so popular and it has helped to built different technological innovations to different  DJs who formerly relied on records and turntables.

Instead of changing trends in electronic dance music, Sasha DJ prefers continuing to perform in large dance venues. So in 2007, he formed a record label. Then after this, he has been voted among the top ten DJ in the world by readers of DJ Mag every year since 1997. And he was placed first in 2000.

In 2004, he was also nominated in the categories of “Best European DJ” and “Best Re mixer“.
