Sheryl was born on February 11, 1962, in Kennett, Missouri. Her mother’s name is Bernice Crow who was a piano teacher.

Her father’s name is Wendell Wyatt Crow who is a lawyer and trumpet player. She has two older sisters and a younger brother in her family named Kathy and Karen and Steven.

She studied at Kennett High School in 1980 and completed her schooling. Then she completed her graduation from The University of Missouri at Columbia in 1984.

During college, she spent her weekends performing with a local band, “Cashmere”. After completion of her graduation, Crow served as a music teacher.

Sheryl Crow began playing piano at age 6. After college, Crow worked. And she joined an elementary school in St. Louis teaching there as a music teacher in 1986. After that, she also began to record different jingles for advertising clients, and also worked as a backup singer.

In 1987-’88 she has got the chance to perform with Michael Jackson’s and sang “Bad” world tour. She later sang back-up for Sting, Rod Stewart, and Don Henley. In 1991, Crow was called A&M Records for the recording of an album.

She performs there but it couldn’t reach the expectation. So she started to play with the band name The Tuesday Music Club including singers like Bill Bottrell, David Baerwald, David Ricketts. There was and also Crow’s then-boyfriend Kevin Gilbert in the band.

In 1993, the group worked together and released the album named Tuesday Night Music Club. The album was very popular including the hit, “All I Wanna Do.” She has also once appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman.

She claimed on the show that the song, “Leaving Las Vegas” was autobiographical. After this incident, the band decided that Sheryl should be on her own and started to bring out her singles. Her singles were also nice. She also performed an MTV Unplugged session in 1995. Crow then released the album, Sheryl Crow, in 1996.

After that, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and was involved in various health problems. Though she was well enough and after that, she went on her Stop Global Warming College Tour in April 2007. She there started to perform different concerts. As her dream was to be a successful mother, Crow adopted son Wyatt that year.

Again in 2008, she was back, Crow was back with her album Detours.  In Aug 2008, we saw her involved in an environmental-themed event related to the Democratic National Convention. In 2010, Crow released her seventh studio album, 100 Miles From Memphis and it was also loved all of her fans.

She again released Feels Like Home album after three years. her first country music project, which successfully debuted in the top 10 on the Billboard 200.

Crow has received the award including Grammy Award for Best New Artist, Record of the Year, and also Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for the song All I Wanna Do in 1995.
